Welcome to Land Registry's consultations page

When we make proposals that we think help make land registration easier, we always discuss them in user groups and other forums.

If any of them significantly affect practice or procedures, we consult formally, in accordance with the Code of Practice on Consultations (external website, berr.gov.uk).

Anyone can comment during a Land Registry consultation. The discussion period normally lasts for 12 weeks and the observations we receive can make a difference. You can either respond by email or by post.

Land Registry (Electronic Conveyancing) Rules 2011 consultation

Following the previous two consultation papers published in 2007, Land Registry has launched the third consultation on Monday 22 March 2010.

It seeks your views on the draft Land Registration (Electronic Conveyancing) Rules 2011, prepared for Land Registry's e-conveyancing programme. This consultation covers the rules to support e-transfers and e-charges as part of an e-conveyancing transaction.

To respond to the consultation, please insert your answers into the questionnaire document once downloaded and saved. You can then email it to consultationenq3@landregistry.gsi.gov.uk

Alternatively, you may print off the questionnaire, apply your comments and send your responses to:
